Philomena Potts

Philomena joined Wirral CIC in September 2022.   She retired from a 46-year career in nursing including stints in the USA, France and Hong Kong.   Having a long-standing interest in all things historical, Philomena has now found the time to develop her own interests, tracing her heritage back through Ireland and Scotland.

With the addition of Danish and Norwegian daughters-in-law to the family, Philomena’s interest in the Viking history of Wirral has been piqued.   She can now boast of having three Viking grand-children who, in due course, will be well informed of Wirral’s Viking connections

Her role on the Board of Wirral Archaeology CIC involves PR, fund-raising through the sale of books at historical events and fairs and other supporting projects.
