Finds from the Wirral – Galerius Roman Coin
We have at time of writing 40 items verified at PAS as from the Roman period AD 43-410. These include coins, brooches, mounts, weights and ceramics. Some are pictured below.
This is a very well preserved Roman Coin. It dates from from the reign of Galerius who reigned from AD 293-311. There is sufficient detail for the experts to say it dates from AD 295 and was minted at Siscia (modern day Croatia).
