Finds From Wirral – Strap End

We have over 80 medieval items including buckles, brooches, spindle whorls, vessel parts, strap ends and coins.

This is a strap end which would have been fitted to the end of a leather or in this case cloth strap. If you look carefully you can see some of the original cloth still intact in the unit.

It has been dated from AD 1200-1400.
